My adventure began in my early 20s when I first discovered the thrill of scuba diving in the cold, challenging waters of Victoria. These early experiences tested my resolve and honed my skills, preparing me for the diverse underwater environments I would later explore.

In 2015, I made a life-changing decision to move to the Sunshine Coast, drawn by its warmer waters and vibrant marine life. By day, I worked as a radiographer, using my keen eye and technical skills to capture detailed medical images. Little did I know how well this professional experience would translate to my passion for underwater photography.

As my skills and passion grew, so did my ambitions. My quest for extraordinary underwater encounters led me to the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas, where I had the privilege of photographing some of the ocean's most magnificent predators up close. Coming face-to-face with great hammerhead sharks and imposing tiger sharks was both exhilarating and humbling. These experiences not only honed my photography skills but also deepened my respect for these misunderstood creatures.

My dedication to capturing the beauty and wonder of the underwater world has not gone unnoticed. In 2024, I was honored to be selected as a finalist in the prestigious Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition. This recognition not only validates my artistic vision but also provides a platform to share the importance of marine conservation with a wider audience.

From Sharks to People

Back on the Sunshine Coast, I continued to document the diverse marine life, from colorful tropical fish to graceful sea turtles. However, I soon discovered a new niche that truly sets my work apart - underwater portraits of people. This unique blend of underwater photography and portraiture allows me to create stunning, otherworldly images that capture the harmony between humans and the ocean.
